Charles Russell Speechlys boosts private wealth offering with the hire of an international tax team

Charles Russell Speechlys is strengthening its international wealth structuring capabilities with the hire of an international tax team in London, led by new partner Robert Reymond.

Robert is a tax specialist with over 20 years’ experience advising financial institutions and high-net-worth families in Latin America, Canada, and Europe on international wealth structuring, with a focus on tax, information exchange, estate planning and the international regulatory environment.

Robert will be joined at the firm by Leigh Nicoll (Senior Associate), Emma Tyrrell (Senior Associate) and Oliver Cooper (Policy Lead). Robert and his team join Charles Russell Speechlys from Stikeman Elliott.

Simon Ridpath, Managing Partner, Charles Russell Speechlys, said:

“Robert and his team’s extensive experience advising both financial institutions and high-net-worth families will complement our market-leading private wealth specialists across the firm. Robert and his team have an exceptional reputation with the clients they serve, and their arrival will allow us to bolster our Latin America offering at the perfect time, with London, Switzerland and Luxembourg of increasing importance for Latin American clients and their investments.”

Robert Reymond said:

“Charles Russell Speechlys has an excellent reputation in the private wealth industry, with market-leading teams working across many of the world’s key wealth and financial centres. I look forward to continuing to build my practice, as part of a firm with an international focus on private wealth and offering my clients a seamless service with the firm’s pre-eminent specialists across the international office network.”

The arrival of Robert and his team follows the growth and recruitment of a new Private Wealth and Commercial Real Estate team, led by Silvia On and Ian Devereux in Hong Kong in April.
